X crashing when switching back from the console is most commonly caused by a problem with the video driver. There should be some related error messages in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or in /var/log/syslog. (Switching back and forth between X and console works fine for me; up-to-date Sid/amd64, intel driver.) -- Regards, | http://users.icfo.es/Florian.Kulzer Florian | -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
