Hi, I have a radeon HD4670 and while I would like to stick to free software as much as possible, I might soon permanently switch to fglrx drivers because of the difference it makes on PC noise level.
When using fglrx, my PC gets very silent when xdm starts. When using the radeon xorg driver, the noise level stays the same.
