mmmmmm... guess it's a hardware problem: the hd maybe as roger

I don't think so. No problems with older versions, and never had any
other problem with the disk - nothing in the logs, no smart warnings, no
data corruption.

ok i'll have a good look at the logs, because, as you say, i too never had this kind of trouble before.

but, by the way: what can be the cause of this when it is not the hd??
