I used to use Ubuntu back in the 5.10 and 6.06 days for about a year or so as a desktop. I liked it and it was alright but Debian's stability and performance won me over! I never really paid attention to Ubuntu's package selection, however, since I used a stock configuration most of the time. Does anyone know if Ubuntu has the same vast package selection as Debian?
