Maybe look at screen. From screen(1): idle [timeout [cmd args]] Sets a command that is run after the specified number of seconds inac- tivity is reached. This command will normally be the "blanker" command ... ... lockscreen Lock this display. Call a screenlock program (/local/bin/lck or /usr/bin/lock or a builtin if no other is available).
