Hi,

In
http://earth.google.com/intl/en/download-earth.html

I click on "Agree and Download", script enabled, and nothing
recognizable happens.
Anybody had more luck?

After installation:

./googleearth-bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/i686/cmov/libssl.so.0.9.8:
symbol BIO_test_flags, version OPENSSL_0.9.8 not defined in file
libcrypto.so.0.9.8 with link time reference

and a segfault.

Nice try.

Try ./googleearth instead

That is what I do. The message is what refers to "googleearth-bin".

But Google is still your friend: I googled "/usr/lib/i686/cmov/libssl.so.0.9.8" and got a hit to the solution:

"Find the libcrypto.so.0.9.8 library in the Google Earth install directory and rename it. Google Earth will then use systems libcrypto and works at least on Intrepid."

And *that* works.

So right now I flew to Oaxaca, Oax. :-)
