I guess Osamu's point was that one shouldn't recommend using foreign packages, if there are debian packages for the same purpose as well. Are you sure that the Ubuntu package will be supported for Lenny's release cycle? Is the ubuntu package so much better and so well supported as to really recommend it to users who might stay with lenny after the release?
