IIRC, there is a slight problem of using testing just after a stable
release.

1. there will be a lot of updates going on, having all those "frozen"
packages comming in at once, possibly causing some glitches.

2. IIRC, it will take some time to re-setup security support for testing
after the release. Due to constraints in man power that may take several
weeks.

YMMV, take care.

To OP: Basically you can do what you want. There are tradeoffs between
stability and permanent updates and only you can decide what you
want/need. There are a lot of distributions (almost all, except debian)
which don't offer these different levels between 'stable' and 'unstable'.

Cheers,

Johannes
