mail-to: link (or File | Send Link) in Iceweasel? Iceweasel currently
brings up Evolution.
iceweasel > edit > preferences > Applications
search mailto; change to icedove
This was already set to icedove, so no help on that piece.

I've searched the KDE website as well as this list and haven't come up
with a clue.
debian's default desktop is gome, so the default config is gnomish.
