Hi, I'm running Debian unstable with the Debian 2.6.26-1-amd64 kernel, and I'm randomly facing a ugly keyboard and touchpad problem. From times to times, keyboard and touchpad are incredibly slow to react : I press a key, and have to wait for half a second before the letter is printed in the application. Mouse cursor somewhat follows my finger, but with the same kind of delay thus rendering the touchpad barely usable.
Each time the problem occurs, the delay is nearly half a second at the beginning, and increases over time. I often have an USB mouse plugged to my laptop and I've noticed that the USB mouse does not suffer from this, even when the touchpad and laptop keyboard do. When the problem hasn't occured since last power cycle, the USB mouse can be plugged and unplugged at will and works flawlessly. As soon as the problem begins, the USB mouse keeps on working just fine but if I unplug it and then plug it back, it stops working. (red ligth doesn't even light up) Sadly I don't have any USB keyboard (well except the laptop one). I've encouterd the same problem with older kernels (never tryied a kernel older than 2.6.24, nor a 32 bits one though), either Debian ones or vanilla ones. The only way I found to get back to a normal behavior is to hard reboot my laptop...
