If I give enough details, can you help me out? If my memory doesn't fail, there are only 2 directories in DVD, I copy them to /mnt/dos4/1415
And I can use vlc to play by just specifying directory. After conversion, I wish frame size is about 384x288. The film is 90 minute long, I wish the file size is about 500 megabytes. As to format I wish it can be played in Windows and Linux. --- On Tue, 11/11/08, Ron Johnson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: Ron Johnson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: how to use mplayer to convert DVD to a file? > To: [email protected] > Date: Tuesday, November 11, 2008, 7:24 PM > On 11/11/08 18:04, Serena Cantor wrote: > > I have copy DVD to hard drive. > > As an ISO file? > > > It's at /mnt/dos4/1415 > > I want to convert it to save space. > > That's way too non-specific. > > How compact? > > Shrink image width/height? > > What format do you want it stored as? > > > Do you know the command? > > Depends on what you really want. > > -- Ron Johnson, Jr. > Jefferson LA USA > > If you don't agree with me, you are worse than > Hitler!!! > > > -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of > "unsubscribe".
