I can not believe it, since the fastest 486 was 100MHz (Am486dx4) and
only the AMD Ovedrive Am5x85-P75-133-(ADZ|ADW) had 133 Mhz...
I asume, you mean 66MHz...

You do not need a DesktopManager but WindowManager
Why not try TWM of a heavy customisable FVWM?
