Well, it could still end up as a mess, if people either (arbitrarily) change the line breaks or insert characters with different encodings (outside of ascii / utf or whatever the document uses). That's leading OT now, but I haven't seen someone editing utf-latex on window$. (I don't use window$ myself, so I don't know if it is possible, though). > Doug.
