I tried all the "sensible" combinations of protocol and uri, to no avail; none of them worked. In one or two cases five to seven after I send a file for printing the "form feed" light on the printer will light up, but nothing will print. I tried for fun a few times ten minutes after that light went on to do a manual form feed. The printer would then spew out a single sheet of paper with one line of random characters at the top. On the one desktop I have that works, a P4 with Etch, LPD/LPR host or printer with the lpd URI works as it should. So something else must be wrong.
