It seems to me that from time to time the line fails, perhaps the site is getting to many requests, etc. And when it fails for me, it fails for a while then apparently works again. I usually monitor this list to see if others are reporting problems since I don't want to add to the noise, but after I commented it out, it's been a while since I've been able to update the media apps on my computer and I've been wanting to get flash/olympics and other flash sites and other video formats working better.
