I've been exploring zotero thoroughly in connection with a
reading-research project. It's the best note-taking program I've tried
out.  

Just for example, I find it dreary to copy down publication data
on books. Zotero lets you pull that data in automatically if you can
find a library that is zotero-useful, and the Library of Congress is.

So when I'm typing in zotero notes, I keep the LC web site open, and
get my publication data there.
