Damn Small Linux is based on Knoppix is based on Debian. Ubuntu has a live CD although i wouldn't consider it light... Linux From Scratch is not debian based but does have a liveCD and you can do whatever you want. But hey, look, a search engine gave me this: http://www.debian.org/misc/children-distros
