I am trying to use openntpd on a debian testing system, AMD64. My ntpd.conf file is:
# $OpenBSD: ntpd.conf,v 1.7 2004/07/20 17:38:35 henning Exp $ # sample ntpd configuration file, see ntpd.conf(5) # Addresses to listen on (ntpd does not listen by default) #listen on * listen on 127.0.0.1 #listen on ::1 # sync to a single server #server ntp.example.org # use a random selection of 4 public stratum 2 servers # see http://twiki.ntp.org/bin/view/Servers/NTPPoolServers # and http://www.pool.ntp.org/ server pool.ntp.org In the daemon.log file I get messages like: Jun 26 15:59:14 riemann ntpd[13010]: adjusting local clock by 45.365711s Jun 26 16:02:55 riemann ntpd[13010]: adjusting local clock by 45.553905s Jun 26 16:04:28 riemann ntpd[13010]: adjusting local clock by 45.985322s ... The time adjustment keeps going up and up but the clock is never reset, it just continues to fall further behind. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Bob -- Dr. Robert J.
