This is therefore a problem with Xft. Xft act as glue between fontconfig, Freetype and RENDER. Freetype is very unlikely to break (somewhat like libpng). To see if fontconfig works, type "fc-list", and see if you have all your usual fonts listed. To see if RENDER works, start "xclock" and see if the hands are displayed properly _and_ anti-aliased (to better see anti-aliasing, you can use xmag). Regards, -- Nicolas George
