Thanks Derrick and Alan.
Going to bed was the answer, ie, shutdown and reboot killed that process. No problems deleting the directory this morning.
One day I'll shout myself a silent PSU then will see if I can go for a record uptime.
Seems the file gets created when I exit weex ungracefully (Ctrl-C).
