I couldn't find one step-by-step howto but used information from the
debian-reference, and the amd64 howto from the debian website, then
installed the i386 chroot in its own partition (lvm) under
/srv/chroot/etch-ia32. I then installed schroot on the amd64 side and
read the man page and set it up to take care of the bind mounting
automatically. Then I added an icon to my icewm taskbar to scroot -pc
etch-ia32 iceweasel.

For safety (paranoia), I created a new user dtbrowser and run browsers
with javascript or flash enabled as that user to prevent any access
either to my own files or the system (since my normal user is in several
sensitivie groups like ssh, adm, and staff).
