   Yup. Ran it when I had that mysterious window up...it spewed out a lot
of info about it..including the fact it had no name...but I don't see any
solutions there.

  Just an icon for the window

  Doubt it - there isn't any unusual activity when the window is there. It
looks like a terminal window..black background with the usual icewm
decorations but no cursor inside.

  Its apparently a library for asychronous input/output..standard stuff
from what I could find.
