What is this sm-mta? A quick search seems to indicate you have sendmail
installed? AFAIK you can't have several MTAs installed. So please check
you really installed postfix (dpkg -l postfix). If you did, please post
the output of 'postconf -n'.

Mike Bird's suggestion solved the access problem but mutt still sends
mail nowhere. dpkg -l postfix shows the package is installed (ii).
Sendmail was previously installed but purged (pn). The output of
postconf -n is in the attachment post.txt. I have also attached the
relevant portion of tail /var/log/syslog in post2.txt. The sm-mta has
been replaced by postfix apparently because I ran "postmap access" as
this is the only change I have made.
Do you have any idea why my test messages are going nowhere?
