On the other hand, If I create a debian qcow image and then copy it to other machines it works fine.
Similarly if I copy a windows 2000 or a winxp install, it works as well. It seems to be a problem with moving to another machine, because there was no problem with bunzip2 and tar on the same machine. Very puzzling to me.
