Unfortunately I don't know how the FastTrak 378 is supposed to be seen by the system if everything works as intended. Run "grep -i ata /var/log/syslog" or "dmesg | grep ata". Did you try to boot your system with the controller set to normal operation (i.e. not IDE-mode) in the BIOS?
