Ahh, thats good to know.

I have a whole lot of:

        # locate fonts
        # [..]
        # /usr/local/share/Mowitz/fonts
        # /usr/local/share/Mowitz/fonts.txt
        # /usr/local/share/Mowitz/fonts/agd.afm
        # /usr/local/share/Mowitz/fonts/agdo.afm
        # [..]
        # /usr/local/share/Mowitz/fonts/tnrl2bi_.afm
        # /usr/local/share/Mowitz/fonts/tnrl2bi_.pfb
        [..]

Left over from a "Damn Small Linux" install. Although an apt-cache
search mowitz doesn't show anything I won't trash them now, cheers! But
according to what you say I should just replicate the /usr/local/share/fonts
hierarchy similar to the /usr/share/fonts hierarchy and they'll "just work"?

Mmmm, maybe It may help sharpen up the odd PDF file I have trouble with.
I normally just use the console, but if I *need* to see a graphic or PDF
or look at some chess games with "scid" then I use a not very customised
fvwm. Oh, and of course, "xdvi" and "gv" :-)
