Hi, just changing the sources.list file and then aptitude update &&
aptitude dist-upgrade should be OK. The process should probably be
smoother than upgrading from etch to lenny.

BTW, I am now using lenny and do not see the merit of sid. There might
be more RC bugs that can cause data loss in sid. You have some packages
missing in testing but you can still use local installed old versions
without upgrading most of the time without problem.

Also, if you point sources.list to lenny, you eventually get it to be
released as stable. But sid would remain unstable for ever.
