Movib=g further off-topic, I've never understood why people use GRUB. LILO
seems so much lighter weight to achieve the same effect. 

Can anybody enlighten me?


It's not GRUB2. It's GRUB, error 2.  And I can't enlighten you because 
GRUB got installed by default.
