I was able to get around that hurdle by adding a source to sid and grabbing the relevant packages from sid (nvidia-glx, nvidia-kernel-source, nvidia-kernel-source, probably X.org as well) and then installing the nvidia-source with module-assistant auto-install (m-a a-i). This is back on 2.6.22. Lately I've been getting issues when I do a dist-upgrade, relating to the nvidia package. Since the nvidia stuff works fine here (fx 5200 card) I haven't bothered to try and do any additional upgrades for those specific packages. Here's what I have installed: It seems nvidia-kernel-source has no candidate in Testing. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache policy nvidia-glx nvidia-glx: Installed: 100.14.19-1 Candidate: 169.09-1 Version table: 169.09-1 0 500 http://ftp.us.debian.org sid/non-free Packages *** 100.14.19-1 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache policy nvidia-kernel-source nvidia-kernel-source: Installed: 169.09-1 Candidate: 169.09-1 Version table: *** 169.09-1 0 500 http://ftp.us.debian.org sid/non-free Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache policy nvidia-kernel-common nvidia-kernel-common: Installed: 20051028+1-0.1 Candidate: 20051028+1-0.1 Version table: *** 20051028+1-0.1 0 990 http://ftp.us.debian.org testing/contrib Packages 500 http://ftp.us.debian.org sid/contrib Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg xserver-xorg: Installed: 1:7.2-5 Candidate: 1:7.2-5 Version table: 1:7.3+10 0 500 http://ftp.us.debian.org sid/main Packages *** 1:7.2-5 0 990 http://ftp.us.debian.org testing/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ > Nvidia module on my Testing machine.
