I notice that some pc doesn't allow boot from usb, some other allows that but you must enable the usb boot in bios utility (and set the correct boot order, of course).... Verify that, you must make bootable the usb-key. If you have a linux machine you can use syslinux. I've find just now this old guide (http://d-i.pascal.at/) that i think can help you. I usually install debian in no-cd machine using etherboot (http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/apas02.html.en#howto-getting-images-netboot).
