The only thing in the BIOS here is a hard drive diagnostics utility. It says there that if you need more information to use software from Lenovo's site. > Its been a while. What is the problem you're having? To recap: This is on a new ThinkPad running Debian Lenny/Sid amd64. I have two problems: - the original "random keystrokes ignored on console" dbus seems to deserve the blame for this. - a udevsleep delay on startup of >20 seconds This seems to be a udev problem that has been seen on different hardware. These problems prompted me to run the hardware diagnostics on the Rescue & Recovery CD. Two tests failed: System Board: USB Port Test - Abnormal Exit SMBIOS: Standards Test - Failed Because I haven't had any problems that seem remotely related, USB seems to work fine, and the software seems unable to provide any more information than what I've put here, I am beginning feel like the PCDoctor software on the CD is worthless and should be ignored.
