When i install the IBM i just insert the Debian CD. not connected to LAN.
No, the Lan card is not detect during installation.
No Lan card was detected.

Any idea?
If we want to install the IBM we need to detect the disk drive isnt?
how to install the disk drive (SAS) fist . LAN may be can installed later.
Anyone have installed  Debian on IBM x3550 ?

Is there a dhcp server on the lan segment that is connected to the lan
 card?
Is the lan card detected during installation?
Are the modules loaded for the lan card?

Can you provide a listing of dmesg output?
