If the bug is reported against testing, but not marked as fixed, it's probably still present in the unstable version. I think most of Amarok's problems stem from libxine. Xine hangs sometimes when it gets a stream or a file it doesn't like. Of course, it would be nice if Amarok could gracefully handle situations like this. In the future, Amarok2 will use GStreamer.
