Hi,
When I rotate an image in Konqueror, is the rotation lossless?
I have a few gigs of photos which I cannot import as an album into my
digikam (not enough space in /home). So I am trying to see if I can
rotate the images in konqueror -- the images resize on a different
partition at present.

I use gthumb, and it claims that 90-degree rotation of jpegs is
lossless. Since gthumb, digikam and konqueror all depend on libjpeg62,
"a library for handling JPEG files", I assume they all rotate them
lossless.
Anyway to confirm it?
Hm, dunno if there is a certified way, but perhaps an md5 before you
rotate, then rotate, save, rotate back and md5 again? I have no idea if
some of the metadata in a jpeg will be changed by this.
