I would say no to the webcams. I'm sure there are some camera's that
do what you want, but it surely varies from model to model and depends
on the drivers supporting it. Both these mean you'll have to do some
research. I suggest you get to one of the camera lists (I'm sure
gphoto2 has some lists that owuld be appropriate).
