My xorg.conf has the following (USB mouse connected to PS/2 port):
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
EndSection
and lsmod says that I have the module psmouse loaded.
