Hello Martin, you can look into the archive of <debian-isp> where I have asked the question for 2 1/2 weeks. Currenly I am checking 6 different vendors for 6-8 Disk SATA-Servers (19"/2-3U) and they are not realy expensive.
My biggest Storage Server will have one Raid-1 with Hotfix (three WD360)
for the OS (Rescue System + 2x Production) and one Raid-5 (five Hitachi
Nearline 1 TByte) with Hotfix for the data (= 3 TByte of storage)
19"/3U, CPU is an AMD 64 5600+ X2 (1MB cache/CPU) and 2 GByte of memory
Price=: ~3800 Euro
