Okay. I just tried that and from the Xorg log file I see that it being
loaded okay, but it is not being initialized:
$> cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep '(EE)'
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(EE) Failed to load module "type1" (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) Failed to initialize GLX extension (Compatible NVIDIA X driver not
found)
I am using 2.6.21 Debian kernel and
$> dpkg -l *nvidia* | grep ^ii | gawk '{print $1 " " $2 "\t" $3}'
ii nvidia-glx 1.0.8776-4
