I assume that you have the debian-packaged openvpn package installed? If so, why not use the debian/openvpn way of doing things? Create a file in /etc/openvpn (e.g. named /etc/openvpn/myvpn.conf - got to end in ".conf) containing: remote 137.?.?.? dev tun1 ifconfig 192.168.1.1 192.168.2.5 verb 5 secret /root/key Then the init script for openvpn will take care of things... -- Karl E.
