If you're card is recognized you can use WICD. You can google for it.

Gnome Network Manager DOES support WPA and WPA2 in Etch, if your wlan card
uses the Linux Wireless extension interface.  I know as I used WPA2 with an
ipw3945 on Etch with Gnome Network Manager.
