Apparently the bug was filed with 'severity: critical', but later downgraded to 'normal'. It was nevertheless removed from testing in Feb. 2006. A fixed version appeared in Dec., but for some reason didn't migrate to testing until Mar. 2007, which I suppose was after the Etch freeze. > > (2) How to remedy?
