If you don't plan to use servlets (only jsp and static html), it may be as simple as: <?xml version="1.0"?> <web-app> </web-app> Just for info, I also have installed both Apache and Tomcat, but I did the trick without mod_jk. I simply put a .htaccess file in my jsp directory which redirects all requests to Tomcat.
