Linux should and does work fine with HFS+ as I used my iBook G4 the othe rnight in target disk mode and mounted it on my athlon64 (using Mepis), worked flawlessly.
Fat32 (vfat) works with Macs, NTFS won't. OS X will get ZFS with v10.5, if they added XFS too it'd make life so much easier! Kelly
