where XXXXX is something like:

    -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1

and the "14" specify the size.


Is the .Xresources directory read automatically? I typed in the above
commands,  and restarted X but it seems to have no effect.

Also, how do you specify xterm options like bg and fg in these files
or the .Xdefaults file? I set it in the /etc/X11/fluxbox/fluxbox-menu
and it works. The next time I start x, xterm is again the small
default one with different colors.
