You might also want to try the frame buffer interface. By adding a mode to your kernel stanza in grub... LILO I haven't used in years. So you'll have to finger that out yourself if you use it. But I have made a small webpage to describe the VESA video modes, with an example on the bottom. Then selecting "yes" to "Do you want to use the framebuffer interface" question during: "dpkg-reconfigure -plow xserver-xorg" http://www.gregfolkert.net/info/vesa-display-codes.html And, yes, I have started rebuilding my website.
