Hi List, i got a problem ;-).
After installation of the necessary packages for a soundsystem, logging in as nonroot user i always get the following error message: Sound server informational message: Error while initializing the sound driver: device: default can't be opened for playback (No such file or directory) The sound server will continue, using the null output device. Am I logging in to KDE as root everything works perfectly: the dev /dev/snd has the following rights set: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root audio 16 Jul 19 00:13 snd -> /proc/asound/dev crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 6 Jul 19 00:13 sndstat the nonroot user is in the group audio (linuxconf).
