It's not just openoffice - there are several apps that have problems if they were compiled with freetype 2.0.x and you upgrade libfreetype. You should have a word with the maintainers of the backport that insists you upgrade libfreetype, since that is the cause of problems. We put the conflicts in to prevent people's systems from breaking mysteriously under them.. Chris
