Sorry, I misread your post. Let me follow up on this My version of Konsole is standard Debian. But I think the issue is wider. During boot up, bootlogd fails to start complaining that /dev/ttyzf is giving an error. I don't have a /dev/ttyzf, but I assume its trying to create it dynamically and failing.
