OK, I'll jump in here. Why is removing the Sarge repo a big deal in the first place? I mean the only people that still should be using Sarge are people with old machines that can't handle Etch, or perhaps servers. Now anyone with an old machine should already have the files that said repo provides, and a server doesn't need them. Therefore, I see no problem. Then there's also the issue of it's his server, he can do what he wants. It's my ball and I'm going home syndrome. Bitching about not being able to play without a ball will not usually result in getting that same ball back, but perhaps another kid has a ball you can play with. IMO, people should just upgrade Sarge to Etch, or forget about multimedia in a machine that shouldn't have it in the first place, and march happily along in yesteryear.
