Well, I'm really not *that* stupid. The LV had been expanded several weeks prior so the resize program was called without a size parameter -- meaning it should expand to the size of the LV. Anyway the problem was that I used the wrong program for the resizing. DO NOT USE ext2resize. DO NOT USE ext2online. Instead use 'resize2fs' for both mounted and unmounted ext2 filesystems. I have gotten a patch from the package maintainer (Theodore Tso <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>) so I can fix the corruption.
